Three-minute ropeway ride from Akechidaira
The Akechidaira lookout is said to have the best view in Nikko - you can see all the way across to Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls, and Mount Nantai.
To the east you can see a line of perpendicular cliffs and mountain ranges in the distance.

From April to November 8:40 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
From December to March 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
(Closed for maintenance from February 4 to February 19)

  • * Please note the ropeway may be closed during bad weather (fog, strong winds, lightning, etc.).
  • * During autumn when the leaves are in full color, the ropeway may open earlier and close later than usual.
